Digitalize Educational Content
Cambridge University Press leverages its content by revolutionizing the user experience and the content distribution
Differentiation between Print and Digital learning experience and content distribution management for each platform
The world's oldest publishing house aims "to further the University's mission by disseminating knowledge in the pursuit of education, learning and research at the highest international levels of excellence". Going digital was a compulsory step to follow learners's inclination and to enhance the learning outcomes. Still this step forward requires to reshape the distribution process as there were many distribution platforms (Apple Store, Google Play, Amazon, proprietary platform...). Furthermore the user experience needed to be thought from a digital learning perspective with new capabilities the print could not offer.
Gutenberg Technology's answer
Gutenberg Technology proposed a seamless digital learning experience via a customized white label ePub3 Reader and a centralized distribution solution for all platforms
Gutenberg Technology provided an end-to-end publication manager where Cambridge's editors import, export and publish ePub3 content within a personalized ePub3 Reader for iOS, Android and Web platforms. The Reader gives an unprecedented user experience starting with fluid navigation, control over audio contents, many annotation options, voice recording, embedded Cambridge word dictionary, etc. Most of all, Gutenberg Technology unified all the distribution process whether on Cambridge University Press' app store, or on other stores through a simple but very efficient License Management Module. By using this module, Cambridge was able to create custom license packages for all its B2B and B2C customers, for marketing and sales purposes.
